Endurance Therapeutics Aurawave

A little bit about AURAWAVE...

As a person who suffers from recurring back pain, I have done a lot of things and tried a lot of products trying to ease my suffering. I'm not comfortable relying heavily on pills from the doctor to manage my pain, so I have a whole closet full of products that were supposed to help offer some relief, but failed to meet up to expectations.

When I heard about the AuraWave from Endurance Therapeutics, I was worried it might be another product that didn't live up to its claims. Based on some of the reviews I was reading, I decided to give the product a chance, and I'm glad I did.

My Experience with the Aurawave

whats included aurawave

The AuraWave is a small unit powered by 3 AAA batteries. It's certainly not cumbersome and I found it's very convenient to carry around if I'm on the go, but the small package packs some power. There are two different sizes of electrodes, and you can attach them to your body either using the included self-adhesive pads, or the flexible, adjustable back relief belt. I've been using the AuraWave on my back, and the belt is perfect for delivering the treatment exactly where I want it.

The pain relieving power of the AuraWave is the result of soothing, low-frequency pulses of electricity delivered through the electrodes into the affected regions. I've actually had a very similar treatment in a doctor's office, but the AuraWave puts the same technology in a very affordable package that's FDA approved for home use. It costs less than a couple trips to the doctor, and since you can use it as many times as you want, it pays for itself almost immediately.

How did it work for me?

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when I first received my AuraWave. Honestly, given that this is very similar to the treatment one might expect at a doctor's office, I expected the instructions to be very complicated. It turned out my fears were unfounded, and an included DVD explained things right away. AuraWave treatments are very simple, and pretty much just involve attaching the unit with the belt or pads, and turning it on. You can pick one of either 6 automatic modes, or 4 manual ones. The automatic ones are pre-calibrated to give optiminal therapeutic results, so I tend to use one of them, but the manual modes are great for specific treatment. I found that you'll have to find the settings that are perfect for you, and they may change from time to time. For example, I tend to use the device on higher settings after I've been getting a little bit of strenuous exercise, because my back tends to hurt a little more. It's easy to find the right level of relief.

One of the things I was worried about before I bought the AuraWave was whether or not it would be useful for daily use. I've gone through plenty of products that seemed to work initially, only to fail me pretty quickly in the long run. Endurance Therapeutics was on top of this, and I was happy to see the instructions they included for daily use. I've found that when my back pain is acting up, I can use this every day for consistent relief. The technology has been used for quite a while in the medical profession, so it's definitely already proven, and my own personal experience tells me that this product is successful at bringing it into the home.

The low-frequency electrical pulses are mainly intended to relieve pain, but they have other uses. Because of the way the electricity activates your muscles, it also helps improve muscle performance. I've found that the muscles in the areas where I use the AuraWave looks and feel a little bit stronger. This is a great side effect, and I'm sure anybody who suffers pain would appreciate something like this, because it's often very difficult to use those aching parts of the body. When you're not using them, the blood isn't flowing as much as it could, and your pain can last longer while your body struggles to heal. The AuraWave takes care of this issue for you.

Overall, I am more than satisfied with the Endurance Therapeutics AuraWave TENS unit, and if it came down to it, I would buy it again. It seems built to last, though, and I don't anticipate I'll have to buy another soon. If you're looking for an FDA-cleared device that delivers pain relief, and does so in a compact and affordable way, this is a great option.
